DAY1 ST. PETERSBURG
Welcome to St. Petersburg! After embarking your ship, you have free time before this evening’s welcome dinner onboard. (D)

DAY 2 ST. PETERSBURG
A morning tour will introduce you to this grand, imperial city. Travel along St. Petersburg’s main boulevard, Nevsky Prospekt, and see many treasures including St. Isaac’s Cathedral, the Church of Spilled Blood and Kazan Cathedral. You will also visit Peter & Paul Fortress, home to the burial vault of the Romanov dynasty. This afternoon, explore further on your own, or choose from an optional excursion to one of the summer palaces. (B, L, D)

DAY 3 ST. PETERSBURG
Today’s excursion takes you to the renowned Hermitage Museum, located in the former Winter Palace and home to an astonishing collection of 2.7 million works of art. After lunch, your ship departs St. Petersburg as it travels along the Svir River. (B, L, D).

DAY 4 SCENIC CRUISING - MANDROGI
Spend a full day cruising along intricate waterways and Lake Lagoda, before a short stop at the village of Mandrogi. Here you will have time to view some fine examples of wooden architecture and the museum dedicated to the history of Russian vodka. (B, L, D)

DAY 5 LAKE ONEGA & KIZHI
Lake Onega, Europe’s second largest lake, has many islands. One of the islands is Kizhi, home of the open-air Museum of Architecture, where you will see a range of wooden houses and churches including the famous three-tiered Church of the Transfiguration built in 1714 without a single nail. (B, L, D)

DAY 6 GORITZY
Continue cruising the Volga-Baltic Waterway before reaching Goritzy. Visit the renowned Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery, founded by Saint Cyril in 1397, and tour its historic grounds, many small wooden chapels and the Assumption Cathedral. Return to your ship for an evening departure. (B, L, D)

DAY 7 YAROSLAVL
Founded in 1010 on the banks of the Volga River, Yaroslavl is one of the cities along the famed “Golden Ring.” Your tour will include the 16th century Spassky Monastery, and the Church of St. Elijah the Prophet containing many wonderful frescoes. (B, L, D)

DAY 8 UGLICH
Cruising along the Moscow Canal brings you to another town on the Golden Ring. Uglich dates back to 1148 and has some of Russia’s most beautiful churches and cathedrals, including the Church of St. Dmitry on the Blood, built on the site where Ivan the Terrible’s son was mysteriously killed. DAY 9 MOSCOW
Arrive at the Russian capital and disembark for a tour of the political and economic heartbeat of Russia. Stop at Red Square to witness Moscow’s iconic landmarks including the Kremlin and St. Basil’s Cathedral, and also see historic Novodevichy Convent. The remainder of the day is at leisure, or join an optional excursion. (B, L, D)

DAY 10 MOSCOW
After breakfast, visit the Kremlin, a potent symbol of Russian history and political power. Within this fortified enclosure of red brick walls and towers are many cathedrals and palaces, including the magnificent Assumption Cathedral. Return to your ship for a gala farewell dinner. (B, L, D)

DAY 11 MOSCOW
Your Volga Classic tour concludes after breakfast. (B)
