DAY 1 HELSINKI
Welcome to Helsinki! On arrival make your own way to the hotel. The remainder of your day is at leisure to explore the Finnish capital.

DAY 2HELSINKI
Helsinki, at the crossroads of western and eastern culture, showcases both Swedish and Russian influences. Your sightseeing tour includes the city’s most important sights and giving you an excellent view of Helsinki's past and present. The tour takes you to the most interesting parts of Helsinki, such as the historical centre, City Hall, The Parliament buildings, Finlandia Hall and the Opera House. Stop at the Temppeliaukio Church (Rock Church) or at the Sibelius Monument (if the church is closed). Your last stop will be the Esplanade Park in central Helsinki where you can continue your discovery of the capital at your leisure. B.

DAY 3 HELSINKI - TALLINN
Travel by ferry across the Gulf of Finland to Tallinn. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel with the remainder of the day free to begin your exploration of medieval Tallinn, the picturesque capital of Estonia. B

DAY 4 TALLINN
Experience the magic of Tallinn, where distinctive medieval architecture and character still remain. Your privately guided tour takes you around the UNESCO-listed Old Town – one of Europe’s most complete walled cities. Wander through the cobblestone streets lined with noble merchant houses, lively cafes, ancient churches and fairy-tale turrets. You will see the haunting Toompea Castle, Dome Cathedral and the Gothic 14th century Town Hall. B

DAY 5TALLINN - ST. PETERSBURG
Today, your journey will take you east to imperial St. Petersburg. You will be transferred to Tallinn Coach Terminal for your coach to Russia. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. B

DAY 6 ST. PETERSBURG
Today you will travel a short distance from St. Petersburg to reach the Gulf of Finland and Peter the Great’s grand summer palace. Built in 1720 and inspired by the Palace of Versailles in France, the grand palace was built to
celebrate Peter’s many military victories. Your tour guide will show you the many lavishly furnished staterooms, and then take you on a guided walk through the beautiful gardens including the world famous gold fountains of the Grand
Cascade, the centrepiece of this magnificent estate. On completion of your tour of the palace and gardens you will be transferred to St. Petersburg pier for embarkation aboard MS Mstislav Rostropovich vessel to begin your cruise along the Volga, the longest river in Europe. Following embarkation and a traditional “Bread & Salt” ceremony, you will have the opportunity to meet your fellow travellers and afterwards enjoy this evening’s Welcome Dinner. BD

DAY 7 ST. PETERSBURG
Today, during your city tour, you will see the imperial palaces and stunning cathedrals of St. Petersburg. Visit the
Peter and Paul Fortress, the original citadel of St. Petersburg is an historiclandmark which houses the burial vault
of the Romanov dynasty. Then travel the city’s main boulevard, Nevsky Prospekt, and see Kazan Cathedral, Church of the Spilt Blood, St. Isaac’s Cathedral, Nevsky Convent and much more. This afternoon is reserved for a tour of the
world-renowned Hermitage Museum. The museum is housed in the winter palace, former home of the Czars and
one of the world’s oldest and largest museums featuring masterpieces by Leonardo da Vinci, Rafael, Rembrandt,
Rubens and French Impressionists. BLD

DAY 8 MANDROGI
This morning, cruise to the traditional Russian village of Mandrogi located on the left bank of the scenic Svir River.
This once quintessential Karellian town was left to ruins after WWII, but has since been restored to its former glory by the regions best woodworkers. Discover the fine examples of wooden architecture as you wander through the cobbled streets of Upper Mandrogi. A barbeque lunch will be served ashore, where you have a chance to taste the Russian shashlik (kebab). BLD

DAY 9 KIZHI
Cruise along Lake Onega to the World-Heritage listed Kizhi Island for a tour of the Museum of Wooden Architecture with the iconic Church of the Transfiguration. The 300 years old multi-dome church is most noted forbeing constructed entirely without nails. BLD

DAY 10 GORITZY
Today you will cruise to Goritzy to visit the Monastery of St. Cyril on the White Lake, which was one of the largest,
richest and most famous monasteries in Russia in 15-17th centuries. BLD

DAY 11 UGLICH
Enjoy a walking tour of Uglich, including a visit to the Kremlin grounds Transfiguration Cathedral and the Church of St. Dmitry on the Blood, built on the site where Ivan the Terrible’s son was killed. BLD

DAY 12 MOSCOW
On today’s city tour you see many of the city’s iconic landmarks including the colourful St. Basil’s Cathedral,
Red Square, the GUM and the Bolshoi Theatre. Your tour continues with a visit to the formidable Kremlin, the official residence of the President of Russia and the apex of Russian political power.Explore the Kremlin grounds with a visit
