DAY 1 Stockholm

DAY 2 Stockholm
Built on 14 islands, Stockholm is an incredible city. On our sightseeing tour we will see the Old Town with the royal Castle, the Stockholm Cathedral and famous City Hall. This afternoon we transfer to the port to embark on our overnight journey travelling through the glorious Stockholm archipelago to Riga. BD

DAY 3 Riga
We arrive at Riga this morning and explore its fascinating mix of German, Latvian and Russian Heritage. Our tour will include the wonderful Art Nouveau district and the city’s notable sights such as the freedom Monument and Dome Cathedral. BL

DAY 4 Riga - Siauliai (Hill of Crosses) - Kaunas - Vilnius
Our journey takes us south across the border to neighboring Lithuania with a stop at Siauliai to see the evocative Hill of Crosses, which stands as a testament to the endurance of Catholicism in this country’s turbulent history. We continue to charming Kaunas with a cobbled Old Town for a short stop before proceeding to Lithuania’s capital for check in at your hotel. BD

DAY 5 Vilnius
We join our guide for a tour of Vilnius’ quaint Old Town, walking along the maze of cobblestone streets past unassuming monuments. Uncover the city’s highlights including St. Anna’s Church, the Old University and Gemidinas Tower. BL

DAY 6 Vilnius - Daugavpils – Sigulda
Today we stop in smaller, provincial towns to gain a great insight into this region. We transfer to Daugavpils, founded by the Livonian Order and ruled by Poles, Swedes, Russians and Germans. Explore the town center and Daugavpils Fortress before transferring to Sigulda for dinner and overnight. BD

DAY 7 Sigulda – Paernu – Tallinn
Explore lovely Sigulda, known by the locals as the Switzerland of Latvia. On a sightseeing tour take a forest walk and cable car ride with excellent views of the Guaja River. Continue to the resort town of Paernu and enjoy a short tour before travelling through the picturesque Estonian countryside to Tallinn. BL

DAY 8 Tallinn
We start our day with a comprehensive tour of this magnificent walled city. See Tallinn’s Dome Cathedral, Toompea Castle and medieval 13th century Town Hall. This evening join a medieval dinner at a local restaurant. BD

DAY 9 Tallinn - Helsinki
After breakfast, take a ferry across to Finland and arrive in its lively capital, Helsinki. We join an excellent city tour including the Helsinki Cathedral, Parliament Building, Sibelius Monument and famous Rock Church. BD

DAY 10 Helsinki - St. Petersburg
Travel by the Allegro train and cross the border to Russia where you will arrive at magnificent St. Petersburg! You will be met at the train station to transfer to your hotel. This evening head out for dinner to a local restaurant in this amazing city. BD

DAY 11 St. Petersburg
Today we visit The Peterhof Grand Palace and its spectacular parks and gardens before transfering to the port for embarkation of the cruise portion of your journey. This evening, enjoy a welcome dinner on board. BD

DAY 12 CRUISE: St. Petersburg
Today during your city tour you will see the imperial palaces and stunning cathedrals of St. Petersburg. Visit the Peter & Paul Fortress, which houses the burial vault of the Romanov dynasty, followed by lunch in a local restaurant. This afternoon is reserved for a tour of the world-renowned Hermitage Museum. BLD

DAY 13 CRUISE: Mandrogi
This morning, cruise to the traditional Russian village of Mandrogi to view the fine examples of wooden architecture. A barbeque lunch will be served ashore, where you have a chance to taste the Russian shashlik (kebab). BLD

DAY 14 CRUISE: Kizhi
Cruise along Lake Onega to the World-Heritage listed Kizhi Island for a tour of the Museum of Wooden Architecture with the iconic Church of the Transfiguration. The 300 years old multi-dome church is most noted for being constructed entirely without nails. BLD

DAY 15 CRUISE: Goritzy
Today you will cruise to Goritzy to visit the Monastery of St. Cyril on the White Lake, which was one of the largest, richest and most famous monasteries in Russia in 15-17th centuries. BLD

DAY 16 CRUISE: Uglich
Enjoy a walking tour of Uglich, including a visit to the Kremlin grounds, Transfiguration Cathedral and the Church of St. Dmitry on the Blood, built on the site where Ivan the Terrible’s son met his death. BLD

DAY 17 CRUISE: Moscow
On today’s city tour you see many of the city’s iconic landmarks including the colourful St. Basil’s Cathedral, Red Square, the GUM and the Bolshoi Theatre. Your tour continues with a visit to the formidable Kremlin, the official residence of the President of Russia and the apex of Russian political power. Explore the Kremlin grounds with a visit to one of its historic cathedrals. BLD
